2001 - In September the work of creating a new brand started.
2002 - Gardex repellents first appeared on the store shelves in April. The new product came out exactly as it was forethought. Balanced assortment allows a consumer to choose the best suitable repellent for any situation: fishing, hunting, vacations at the dacha or spending time with the children. 2003 - new products «2 in 1» appeared under Gardex name. For example in the cap of the tube of cream protecting from flying insects, Gardex specialists put the after bite balsam. A new product seemed to be very appealing to the users of the brand.
2003 - in November Gardex got the award BRAND OF THE YEAR/EFFIE 2003, which is the most prestigious award in the sphere of creating and promoting brands in Russia.
2004 - one more innovation has come under Gardex name: first and so far the only product protecting small children between the ages of 1 to 5. Besides protecting from mosquitoes and midges, the cream also protects from sun rays.
2005 - the year 2005 became the year of developments. Gardex specialists actively worked on perfecting their products: numerous of experiments were made, new formulas and packs were developed.
2006 - the results of laborious work of the last year did not make anybody wait – Gardex offered its customers a couple of innovations at one stroke. For example the pencil-shape repellents in the improved tube protected from oxygen more efficiently, which saves Gardex creams for longer. Also more durable and convenient corrugated pack was made.
2006 - brand’s website www.gardex.ru was launched. So now everyone can get the full information about all Gardex repellents: what repellent to choose, when and how to use them, how specialists guarantee safety and what novelties appeared lately. Besides that, there are different competitions and quizzes on the website what can bring their participants useful prizes.
2006 - Gardex project group works not only on perfecting the already high quality of the products, but also on improving the program of the brand’s promotion, by developing new and interesting ideas for the award programs for the consumers and advertising. In 2006 Gardex ads won 2 awards: got a silver medal on the ADCR Awards that took place in Moscow and gold on the Kiev International Advertising Festival.
The results of the researches of consumers’ opinion and attitude («Review and segmentation of the Russian market of insecticides and repellents» made by IMCA in May-June 2005) demonstrated that Gardex is perceived by its users as the modern foreign brand. The consumers think that Gardex is not only an expert but also an innovator in the sphere of repellents.
